NEW EMPLOYEE IN TODDLERS

Please help me welcome Marie Carriere as our newest member of the Whitney Staff. She will be working in the afternoons with Jessica in the toddler’s room, and sometimes in babies with Teresa & Nancy. Her picture is on the bulletin board in the toddlers. Welcome Marie!!

Breakfast From Home

We will gladly help serve your child breakfast brought from home up until 8:20 a.m. All breakfast items need to be finished by 8:30 a.m., so we can prepare for 9:00 classes (and children will be ready for snack at 9:30). Thank you very much.

HAT DAY

Mark your calendar! Thursday, January 8 will be funny & silly hat day at school. Have your child wear any hat to school for some extra winter fun. It could be a baseball cap, cowboy hat, fireman’s helmet—you name it! Please be sure and label with your child’s name.

PAJAMA DAY

Wednesday, January 21, let’s all wear our P.J.’s to school! We’ll have a parade and have fun in our pajamas! Please bring an extra set of clothes to go outside in.

LIBRARIAN VISIT

West Bloomfield children’s librarian will visit Whitney Bloomfield on Tuesday, January 13. She will tell stories using puppets, books, and songs. If your child does not normally attend on Tuesdays but would like to join us, you are welcome to bring and stay with your child for the 9:30 presentation.

School Closing for Bad Weather

We try to stay open if at all possible. But if weather conditions are such that we must close because of ice or snow, we will post it on local TV channels 2 & 4. It will be listed under Oakland County, Whitney Bloomfield Learning Center. We will also leave a message on our answering machine by 6:30 a.m.

TEDDY BEAR DAY

On Monday, January 26, we will have our popular Teddy Bear Day. All children are invited to bring their favorite teddy bear (or other loveable stuffed toy) to school. All teddy bears will share snack, circle time, nap, and play with the children. Please be sure and label all animals with your child’s name.

AS ALWAYS...
Please drive slowly in the parking lot. And parents, please hold your child’s hand going to/from the car. We certainly don’t want any mishaps!
